NOTE: LINDA IS NOT CURRENTLY PRACTICING BODYWORK - this site is an archive
Linda helps active people become free from pain and gain ease of movement through deep bodywork and foundational movement education. She has extensive experience working with individuals recovering from injuries and accidents, as well as people looking to further improve their movement and performance abilities in sports, martial arts, yoga, dance, and other activities.
Through gentle hands-on somatic movements and exercises, as well as occasional deep bodywork, Linda helps her clients to release pain, learn how to keep it away, and integrate new movement habits that support more efficient function in daily life activities. Linda teaches her clients to gain a deeper sense of their own movement-awareness, and to use this body-awareness as an empowering tool to continue lifelong self-improvement.
"There is no limit to the body's ability to continually improve. I don't do 'maintenance' work. I always work to continually improve your body's structure and ability to move freely." -- Linda Bohara
"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself." -- Moshe Feldenkrais
"One individual may experience his losing fight with gravity as a sharp pain in the back, another as the unflattering contour of his body, another as constant fatigue, and yet another as an unrelenting threatening environment. Those over forty may call it old age; yet all of these signals may be pointing to a single problem so prominent in their own structures and the structures of others that it has been ignored: they are off balance; they are at war with gravity. " -- Dr. Ida P. Rolf
